Though the Lodge kitchen is fully equipped for you to produce your own culinary masterpieces, sometimes it’s nice to enjoy an evening out over a fine meal. Close by Waimarama you will find several restaurants, which we have found consistently create fine meals and provide attentive service. To find out more go to:

For the best coffee and breakfast on the riverside we used to go to Creel Tackle House and Café until it recetly closed. We are waiting for the successor business to commecne at the same site in Taupahi Road.

Further afield, in Taupō, there are great meals to be had at any number of eateries listed on Tripadvisor, but a newcomer stands out for fine dining. For a real culinary experience, try Embra located in Kaimanawa Street, Taupō.
